The ILCA 6 class has its new Spanish champions, after the fourth and final day closed today at the RCN in Torrevieja. David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella) and Ana Moncada have claimed the national title, after completing three more tests today in the final round, thus completing the planned program of six tests.

A very even last installment in which the champion was not known until the last test. Cristina Pujol started the leader and in the first test she signed a fourth. Ana Moncada, for her part, signed the worst partial of hers in Torrevieja: 17. In the second both finished very even, 10th for the Catalan and 7th for the Andalusian. The results in this second test were going to tip the balance in favor of Moncada, given the partial results in the qualifying round and what we had in the finale. In the last test, Pujol closed her participation with a 3rd and Moncada 6th, enough for the Sevillian to remain with the national title with 24 points to 29 for the Catalan.

With partial results of 13-21-23, the title has escaped even the podium options.

A podium that has been closed in the national with Ponseti, Max Urquizu (CN Salou) and Pedro J. Conde (RCN Palma), while in SUB19 the variant has been with Conde, who has been second and Urquizu third.
