Cristina Pujo (CN Port D'Aro) led the last day of the ILCA 6 Spanish Championship that has been taking place since last Thursday at the RCN in Torrevieja, concluding this Sunday, February 12. A third day that has been much tougher than yesterday, with a lot of swell causing waves that have exceeded two meters, wind that has been maintained for almost the entire day at 15 knots of intensity on an axis of 070º, accompanied all this due to several important showers in the middle of the regatta.

The key for Pujol has been his regularity and his strength, staying in the top five in each of the disputed tests, fighting hard with the boys, especially in the first test of the day with the Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi and the Slovenian Luka Zabukovec.

In the second, the one who has fully stepped on the accelerator has been the Andalusian Ana Moncada, who after a fourth place in the first needed a good partial to continue on top and with options for the title. Moncada came to this day leader.

Pujol, for his part, knew how to take advantage of that second installment in which the wind had a light truce, in terms of its intensity, signing a second third place. In the last one he closed the day with a fourth place, the worst partial of him in Torrevieja and that he was going to remove, so he remains in front of the general classification with 16 points.

The Andalusian Moncada, after that well-deserved partial and hard work, was not so successful in the third of the day and that 17 that appears in her box was going to deprive her of being one more day at the helm of the ILCA 6 fleet, given the results of Pujol. She finished with 22 points to 6 behind Pujol.

For the Canarian Martino Reino (RCN Gran Canaria) this has not been his best day. After the good partials with which he reached the final series (1-3-2) in the first test of the day he reached 16th place at the finish. Things were not going any better in the next two either, finishing 9 and 18. These numbers leave the Canarian third with 33, quite far behind Pujol and 11 behind Moncada.

As for the boys, Dani Cardona (CN S'Arenal) has taken a giant step today in Torrevieja in his goal of winning the national scepter, even though his numbers have not been 'spectacular', but enough to obtain an editorial of 11 points sober the second in the category seat occupied by David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella) and 15 over the third: Joan Tomas-Verdera Frontera (CN C'an Pastilla).

The Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi is already the virtual champion of the VIII Olympic Week of the Valencian Community. The transalpine is second overall, adding 17 points, to the 26 that the Slovenian Luka Zabukovec has, occupying fourth place.

Oskar Madonich, new leader in ILCA 7

The ILCA 7 fleet has completed four tests today, three of the day plus one of recovery from the previous day. The discard and the results of each one has made an important turn to the classification. In this sense, the Ukrainian Oskar Madonich, with four partial victories, finished ninth yesterday, is the group leader with 4 points, the Slovenian Ivan Vakhrushev is 7, while the Spanish Rafael Lora (CN Villa de San Pedro) is provisional bronze with 13 points

Triple tie at the head of the ILCA 4 fleet

The ILCA 4 have debuted in the 'Olympic Week'. Today they were able to close the day with two tests completed. Joan Fargás (CN Cambrils) is first, thanks to that partial victory in the first test. In the second he concluded the fifth. Some numbers that leave him with 6 points in total.

A score that was also repeated by the British Archie Munro-Price and the Catalan Guillem de Llanos (CN Sant Feliu de Guixols). The first of them with partials of 4-2 and the second 2-4. Both Fargás and Munro-Price and De Llanos have sailed in the same red group.

Tomorrow, the fourth day for the ILCA 6 and the third for the ILCA 4 and ILCA 7, in which three other tests are scheduled. It is not ruled out to be able to do something more for the 4 and the 7.
