On May 19 and 20, the XII Spanish Notarial Congress will take place in Malaga under the motto 'The aging of society: the main challenge of the century'.
The event plans to bring together more than 400 attendees from all areas of civil society, with a special focus on the legal field and, for the first time in the history of Notaries, institutions and professionals from civil society will be opened.
The opening ceremony will feature the participation of the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop; the president of the Diputación de Málaga, José Francisco Salado; the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the president of the General Council of Notaries, José Ángel Martínez Sanchiz; the dean of the Notarial College of Andalusia, María Teresa Barea; and the general coordinator of the XII Congress; Rodrigo Tena. Antonio Ojeda, first president of the Andalusian Parliament and retired notary, will be the master of ceremonies.
Over the last two years, the pandemic has highlighted the need to integrate health, economic and sociological reflections into an adequate legal framework, capable of harmonizing them for the benefit of people, especially the elderly, who have suffered the impact of the coronavirus more severely.
SCHEDULE
The program of the XII Spanish Notarial Congress focuses on three issues: respect for dignity versus protection of vulnerability; centenarian life and its individual forecast; and centenarian life and its social and political forecast.
Thus, the meeting will have a very dynamic agenda based on discussion tables in which more than 70 experts from the health, political, economic, university, sociological and legal fields will reflect on the challenges posed by what is already emerging as one of the most determining phenomena of this century.
