The first appointment of the 2023 calendar of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club has finished

The Club de Las Arenas regatta committee set out quite often to avoid the cold and there were very even races with good wind. In the Snipe class, which this year will see the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club as organizer of the Spanish Youth and Absolute Championship at the end of August and beginning of September, Tomás Trueba and María Cabrera won, with two seconds and a first put on the decisive day. Carlos Maidagan and Oskar Fernández were classified second, 13 points behind, and third were Nicolás Viar and Silvia Marcé, the best on this last day. "They have been very hard-fought tests with good wind and we have been able to enjoy ourselves in the water despite the cold," said Tomás Trueba, one of the winners, after the awards ceremony held outside the José Luis de Ugarte Sailing School.
In the ILCA 6 class, Martín Bueno won, the favorite after the previous days. They were followed in the general classification by Aketx Otxarri and Gaspar Gallinger. Gabriel Oraá prevailed in the three routes of the final day in this class, with Pablo Zerón second in all. Already in the FEVA class, Vera Aguirre and Jon Berástegui claimed victory without any discussion, with full victories. On his side, Ignacio Buján finished first at the head of the Optimist 1 classification thanks to his first places on the last and freezing day of competition, with Álvaro Barquín first in Optimist 2.
The young sailors from the José Luis de Ugarte Sailing School have prepared for this Erecacho-Decathlon Trophy in the Biscayan waters of the Abra for the next championships of a long and beautiful season that has just begun. The cold could not with them.
