The mayor of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, presented this Thursday in the Chapter House 'In the silence of that pandemic', a book by David Dylan, resident doctor of Neurology, edited by Ledoria. The author addressed in these pages his experiences and those of his colleagues on the front line of Covid-19, in addition, all proceeds will go to the Food Bank. At the event, some emotional videos were shown with testimonies from doctors and patients during those days of uncertainty and fear.

Accompanied by the author, the mayor explained that through different testimonies, David Dylan offers a vision of the circle of experiences and feedback that professionals had to face in the first moments of the pandemic, without a doubt, as it has been As the mayor stated, those first days "were the hardest."

Milagros Tolón has highlighted that this text offers the reader "a fundamental point of view to listen to what happened and become aware of the magnitude of the challenge that we face as a society and, in particular, all health personnel", becoming a tribute to all the professionals and families who, as the municipal official has said, “suffered those first waves of the coronavirus.”

"We are facing a book that conveys what happened, under what conditions and how its author affected it from the epicenter of what the rest of us would only intuit from our homes", the mayor pointed out in her speech, adding that it is a book " Difficult to do but necessary, so that it bears witness to the tenacity, effort, pain, quality of care and courage of the professionals who experienced first-hand the greatest health crisis of our time”.
