This Monday the Italian justice decided to file the case related to the death of Mario Biondo due to procedural limitations and referring the case to the Spanish courts. Of course, in his order, the investigating judge concluded that Raquel Sánchez Silva's husband was the victim of a homicide, ruling out that his death was voluntary. In addition, the magistrate stated that the murderers can alter the crime scene to make it look like a suicide act.
These are conclusions that have satisfied the family that, for nine years, has been fighting for it to be recognized that Mario did not take his own life: "We have recovered our son's dignity," said Santina, Biondo's mother, in conversation with ABC.
In their long and tedious struggle to clear up the unknowns of a death that continues to make headlines, the Biondos have encountered numerous inconveniences and the resounding refusal of Raquel Sánchez Silva. The presenter, whom the judge points out in her brief for her innumerable contradictions, never considered another possibility than suicide and did not facilitate the investigation promoted by her in-laws.
Since the day of her death there have been very few occasions in which the Extremaduran has spoken about what happened. In everyone's permanent memory the day she appeared on 'The Ana Rosa Program' with the motivation of a publicity act and she thanked the messages of condolence that had reached her through the mobile phone that she was promoting. Despite her anxious silence -Raquel has not responded to calls or messages from ABC-, close sources assure that she is very calm and that she continues to believe that her husband committed suicide.
