This 2023 is the year of oppositions: Post Office, National Police, General State Administration, Education... and now also for Social Security. The BOE published on April 18 the call for positions for Social Security management and senior technicians, between open access and internal promotion positions.
The BOE specifies the exact number of positions in each call. The first process is to enter the Management Corps of the Social Security Administration. In this sense, there are 659 places through the free access system, in addition to another 839 through the internal promotion system. In other words, anyone who meets the requirements can opt for the first positions, while the second ones do not imply the hiring of new personnel, but rather the positions are filled with employees who are already working in the administration itself.
The second process published by the BOE is to enter the Superior Corps of Technicians of the Social Security Administration. In this case, we offer 284 free access places and 203 places for internal promotion.
In both cases, the administration reserved positions for people with a degree of disability of at least 33%. For the Social Security Management Corps, the number of places reserved is 93 and for the Higher Corps of Technicians, the places reserved for people with this legal status are 27.
The deadline for submitting applications and requirements
As reported by Social Security, the deadline for submitting applications is 20 business days counted the day after the date of publication in the BOE. That is, if the call was made on April 18, the last day to submit applications is May 18.
In addition, in order to apply, those interested must be in possession of the title of Technical Engineer, University Diploma or Degree or have the conditions to obtain it on the date of completion of the application submission period.
The BOE indicates that the first exercise of the oppositions will be held in a maximum of three months and the opposition phase of the selection process will have a maximum duration of eight months.
How to register in the oppositions
Registration must be done through the Government page for selective tests. The text said that the application for presentation must be made electronically and fill in form 760, attached the scanned documents for the application, electronic payment of fees and the electronic registration of the application.
