Mazón, Flores and Peris charge against Illueca in an electoral debate marked by the absences of Puig and Baldoví

The candidates in the regional elections to the Generalitat Valenciana of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón; Vox, Carlos Flores, and Cs, Mamen Peris, have charged this Thursday against the candidate for Unides Podem-EUPV, Héctor Illueca, in a debate marked by the absences of Ximo Puig (PSPV) and Joan Baldoví (Compromís) ten days after the comedians of 28M.

The three have disdained Illueca's proposals and have demanded a Council with more freedom and less control of the administration, while he has returned to oppose the "power structures" and the "unified rights."

During the second debate of the campaign, organized by Provincias and Cadena COPE, the representatives of the opposition have disfigured the current 'president' and his majority partner who have declined to attend, although Mazón has remarked that "it generates a contradiction" to criticize him because the It's hard to talk about who is not in front of you.

Flores and Peris have raised the tone regarding the absences, which they have staged in the form of empty chairs. The one from Vox has denounced that it supposes a "lack of consideration" for the Valencians who voted for them in 2019 and "a contempt for democracy", while the one from Cs has warned that "one chair is that of fear and another that of sectarianism who only governs for his own".

After these criticisms, Illueca has not directly alluded to the absences of his partners in the Botànic, although he has pointed out that "it is important that the candidates attend, when they are in government and when they are in opposition." In addition, he has reminded Mazón that the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, is not attending all the electoral debates either.

Throughout the hour and a half of interventions, Mazón, Flores and Peris have demanded more "freedom" instead of proposals such as creating a network of public supermarkets in which they see excessive control by the administration. "As a good communist, he wants a society of proletarians and I want one of owners," said the one from Vox to Illueca.

"People deserve air", claimed Mazón, who has assured that Illueca's ideas "have reached the soul". Flores has ironized that it will come to appear when he opens the fridge and Peris has required that he be "less 'happy'", while the UP candidate has replied that "the unified right lacks a project, leadership and, above all, credibility."

"End of Sanchismo"

In his appeal to the vote, Mazón insisted that he wants to be 'president' to speak of "Valencian leadership" and place the Community where it was after two Botànic legislatures. »Sleeping eight is fine, but eight years is a crime«, he has illustrated, and has reiterated that he wants »the end of 'sanchismo'« to begin on 28M to achieve a Government that stops »ignoring« Valencians.

Flores has agreed that "it is time to put an end to this very long time of broken promises" and has guaranteed that Vox will be decisive as of May 29 and that its offices will be "at the end of Calle Caballeros." Meanwhile, Peris has broken a clamp to illustrate that she "has finished voting with her nose covered" and has asked to be the first woman president to focus politics and that "PP and PSOE will not be tempted to lean on extremes" .

Faced with this desire for change, Illueca has maintained that the Botànic has generated stability and "substantial advances", in addition to achieving "clean the image of corruption". He has advocated »uniting connections of different forces« in the Consell, since he has lamented that »every time an avant is put on the table it collides with the interests of very powerful groups and with the fierce resistance of the PSOE«.

All the candidates have advanced the first measure that they would approve if they governed. Mazón has promised to lower taxes, Flores to eliminate ministries, Peris that "no Valencian has to pay to inherit" and Illueca will carry out the state Housing Law "until the last consequences".

The regional financing has gained prominence in a crossroads of replicas, it is that Flores has affected Mazón that has not alluded to this issue in the economic bloc. The 'popular' has stressed that "of course" they want this reform, that "it is not a fencing battle" but public services, and has reiterated that the PSOE "has only blamed the PP."

At this point in the debate, the Vox candidate has accused the PPCV of not being "too good at defending the Valencian Community when it has governed" and has called for "caring" rather than defending. "I will not fight over the verbs, if you want we can add them all: defend and care", Mazón replied, while Illueca has warned the "popular" that "it will not care for self-government because it aspires to govern with the force that wants to liquidate the autonomies”.

In environmental matters, both Mazón and Peris and Flores have defended the expansion of the port of Valencia and have criticized the differences within the Botànic in this regard. Illueca has reiterated his rejection of the project and has announced that it is "to the greater glory of MSC and a shipowner who is a friend of his", head to Mazón.

Regarding the Tagus-Segura transfer, given that the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the Generalitat to suspend the escalation of ecological flows, Peris has warned Mazón that "do not think that a Galician is going to give us the water we lack ”, in reference to the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

Illueca compared the PP with "the mafia"

In the social services block, Illueca has recorded a scene from 'The Godfather' in which "the mafia divides Cuba while cutting a cake", something that he has compared to how the PP managed health when it governed before 2015. For against, the opposition has supported public-private collaboration because "the administration does not have to operate on us," in the words of Flores.

And in terms of housing, in the face of Mazón's criticism of the lack of public construction, Illueca -also a minister of the sector- has reminded him that "there is a commandment that is not to lie" and has assured that dozens have been built and hundreds are underway. "If he does not comply with the commandments, how is he going to fulfill his program", he added, after which Peris has cited the commandments of "you will not steal" and "you will not want candidates from your neighbor" and has accused Vox of not having an autonomous program.
