The Spanish Mediation Center (CEM) has launched today the call for the Award for the Promotion of Business Mediation 2023, which distinguishes excellence in the defense, promotion and development of this alternative mechanism for the resolution of civil and commercial disputes.
The award has three categories: best practices; best informative publication and the Honor Award for professional career. Organizations, institutions, companies and also individuals who consider that they meet the criteria established in the bases of the call may apply to the first two categories. The Honor Award for professional career will be awarded directly by the jury.
As detailed in the rules of the Award, the jury will be made up of a total of six members: four representatives of the CEM and two professionals of recognized prestige from the legal and business sector.
Among the merits to be considered are the effective dissemination of mediation sales between companies, the contribution to the development of the culture of mediation and the good practice of business mediation and the preparation of proposals to the Public Authorities. The creation of institutional alliances and the organization of events or training activities that have helped promote this alternative mechanism to ordinary jurisdiction will also be valued.
Candidates who wish to opt for the first prize in the Best Practices and Best Publications must register through the CEM website. The deadline for submitting candidatures will change from May 3 to 00:00 on June 30, 2023. The ruling will be announced on October 19.
