The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2022 has already started. Although the doors of the Fira will not open wide until tomorrow, the technology companies have already begun to show some of their new devices within the framework of the fair. That is the case, among others, of Samsung. After a few weeks of showing off its brand new Galaxy S22 Ultra, the South Korean has shared its newest in the laptop market: the Galaxy Book2 Pro and Pro 360, which will hit store shelves next April. They are designed, specifically, for all those who are looking for a light, safe computer that offers great performance. Although the first, in principle, seems more focused on teleworking and content consumption, while the second seeks to attract the attention of more professional profiles.

Both the Book2 Pro and the Pro 360 – which is capable of folding on itself, to end up becoming a safe hybrid between laptop and tablet – have versions with 13,3-inch and 15,6-inch screens each. The AMOLED-type sound panels improve the brightness of the predecessors within the family by 33%, and are accompanied by speakers loaded with Dolby Atmos, which allows the user to have an improved user experience.

In addition, inside, it incorporates the latest 12th Generation Intel Core processors, which guarantees, on paper, great fluidity in the use of devices, as well as good performance. In concrete terms, Samsung confirmed that it is faster than computers running 1.7 faster than the release in the previous generation. In addition, they come with a new cooling system with a silent mode that maintains a correct temperature even when the user uses this express; or, at least, that is what they promise from the technology.

The built-in cameras, those that have become so important thanks to video calls and conferences in times of pandemic, also improve, reaching 1080p. Also, improve the sound, and also pretend that the image captured by the front lens is the best possible; Among them, the ability to keep the internet in focus even when you're on the go.

Samsung has confirmed that it has gone to great lengths to ensure that its new computers are truly secure, while also being easy to transport. Precisely, the mobility they offer is one of the aspects that has attracted the most attention in ABC during the few minutes in which we have been messing with them.

The Book2 Pro, in its version with 13,3 kilo pants, barely weighs 0,87 kilos and when it is used it is noticeable and, at the same time, it increases in lightness. The 360 model is somewhat heavier, which is also more complicated to manipulate when folding it so that, in the end, it rests just like a tablet, with the physical keyboard completely hidden.

The laptops have WiFi 6E and 5G connectivity, which allows you to enjoy the browsing experience, especially for all those who are still working remotely from the living room, which is precisely the profile that may interest them the most. Especially the Book2 Pro. The 360 model, on the other hand, is more focused on those people who are dedicated to art or design and need a device that suits their needs. Not surprisingly, this (and only this) is compatible with Samsung's stylus, the SPen.

Security and compatibility

Regarding the battery, Samsung states that it has taken great care to prevent users from having to have their laptops connected every two times three. The company promises its ability to play up to 21 hours of video when the shipment is complete. Thanks to a 65W cable, the device is also capable of reaching a sufficient charge to work after spending just 30 minutes plugged in. Regarding the charger, it is a USB-C type, so users who already have a Galaxy smartphone or tablet can use the ones they already have for it.

The company has also taken great care to ensure that the new laptops are secure. That's why I've presented an enterprise security solution that has collaborated with Microsoft to ensure that both the hardware and software on your PC are optimized to provide the best possible level of protection against attacks.

The computers also come with the 'Private share' functionality, which allows you to share private information, such as identity documents or images, for a limited time. It is also possible to revoke access to this date after being able to compare them at any time. In addition, you have worked on getting the Galaxy device restaurant to improve its interconnectivity and interoperability.

In this way, you can use one of the recent Tab S8 tablets from the South Korean firm as a second screen for the new laptops if you want. It is also possible to use the keyboard and the mouse to control the tablet or another family 'gadget'.

Regarding prices, Samsung confirmed that the Book2 Pro will start at $749,99; While the Pro 360 will start at 899.99. At the moment, it is known how much it will be in euros.
