Alejandro Roemmers, the Argentine businessman who points to the producer José Luis Moreno for having cheated him of the 35 million euros he invested in the production of a sober megalomaniac series Saint Francis of Assisi, will not attend the National Court this Wednesday, where the judge had summoned to appear as a witness in the investigation of that plot that is being investigated in the Titella case. Given the fact that he would not attend, March 9 has been set as a new date.

According to information to ABC in legal sources, Roemmers will not attend because he is in Uruguay and is not in a position to assume the economic damage and the disorder that would mean canceling the commitment he has there on this very day.

It is his birthday party, as José Luis Moreno's representation informed the judge. You have 300 guests.

The businessman was summoned by the judge on January 22 in a ruling that summoned him for this February 9. Consequently, the representation of Franciscus SL, (which is the company where he deposited the capital for the production of the series and which indirectly has him in communication with the court because he is not present in the proceedings), requested the suspension. He argued that he had to arrive at an event in Uruguay to which 300 people were already summoned.

The representation of José Luis Moreno, who has been accusing Roemmers of procedural fraud because he assures that there was no deception and what remains with 100% of the rights to the series, did not take long to answer. They communicated to the court that this event was his birthday party in a letter in which they branded as illegitimate qu'attase to suspend the citation.

The judge refused to postpone the date and did not give the option to hold the testimony by comparison in an order issued on January 29, but the representation of Franciscus SL returned a notice that Roemmers would not be in Madrid on that day, emphasizing the fact that Suspending this event and eliminating it would mean suffering more damages because of José Luis Moreno. This second request has been resolved this Tuesday, postponing the summons to March 9.
