The director of the 'San Francisco Chronicle' analyzes the shortcomings of journalism

The journalist Emilio García-Ruiz, director of the San Francisco Chronicle, will participate at the beginning of April 7, at 19.30:50 p.m., in the CaixaFórum Madrid auditorium, in 'La Conversación', a space for reflection and analysis organized by Colpisa on the occasion of the XNUMXth anniversary of the first private information agency in Spain.

García-Ruiz, who carried out the great digital transformation at The Washington Post, a medium with which he was linked for two decades, before going on to direct the San Francisco Chronicle almost two years ago, will address the challenges facing journalism in a world convulsive in which disinformation evolves freely in social networks. Journalism is, according to Emilio García-Ruiz, "the vaccine against the virus of lies."

A virus that today, with the war in Ukraine, has spread and that journalists have to deal with on a daily basis so that the reader does not get a distortion of reality.

The director of the San Francisco Chronicle, an expert in changing journalism in formats and ways of telling stories to attract readers' attention, will talk next Thursday, April 7, with journalist Andrea Morán. To follow or go in person to 'The Conversation' organized by Colpisa, in collaboration with the 'la Caixa' Foundation and sponsored by Cepsa, it is essential to register in advance at this link https://conversacionescolpisa.vocento.com/reinvencion- journalism /en/Webinar/Info
