"With a plenary session being held on February 3, 2022, no formal meeting of the Chamber's Board was called or increased on that date." This is the content of the certificate sent by the general secretary and senior lawyer of Congress, Carlos Gutiérrez Vicén, to the general secretary of the Vox Group, Macarena Olona, and which certifies that the Table could not formally analyze the repetition of the vote that it requested the popular deputy, Alberto Casero, in the validation of the labor reform because this body never met.

This certification will be one of the axes of the appeal that Vox is going to raise before the Constitutional Court against the actions of the president of the Chamber, Meritxell

Batet, is that he confirmed that this socialist leader decided unilaterally.

Batet assured before the Plenary that the Table was "aware" of Casero's request and that he had "been able to analyze it." He also stressed that the competence to resolve the issue belongs to this body, which he never convened.

During the last days, the sources of the Presidency have been defending that although Batet did not meet with the Table, he did "inform" the members of the body. However, this version has been denied by the fourth vice president, Ignacio Gil Lázaro, who claimed to have been aware of what happened at the end of the vote, when the popular speaker, Cuca Gamarra, requested the floor to denounce the situation before the Plenary. The Popular Group also does not maintain that other members of the Table were informed by Batet before he is rejecting the popular petition.

Against this background, the Chamber Committee will meet this morning to debate, for the first time, the controversial validation of the labor reform. Batet arrives at the meeting with a legal document prepared by Gutiérrez Vicén that justifies his actions while the popular supporters will defend that Casero saw his exercise of the right to vote violated. PSOE and United We Can hold the majority in this body, so the Table will reject all the writings presented by the popular.

In another order of things, the Board of Spokespersons will debate this morning other controversial issues for the PSOE: the request of the popular so that the head of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, appears due to the crisis in Ukraine, and the creation of an investigation commission about the CIS for leaking data to the former leader of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias.
