Sentenced in Salamanca to three years in prison for trafficking pills by mail

The Provincial Court of Salamanca has sentenced a man to three years in prison for trafficking 'mdma' pills by post. The room charges him with a crime against public health and also requires him to pay a maximum of 4.000 euros in subsidiary civil liability.

According to the sentence to which the Ical Agency had access, the events date back to May 7, 2018 when the error in one of the shipments led a neighbor to file a record with the Civil Guard after receiving a message in her mailbox. envelope containing a bag with 200 green pills imprinted with the 'Rolex' logo.

The woman stated that she had opened the package as she expected to receive a mobile phone case, but later realized that the portal was wrong on the address of the envelope.

Once the substance was analyzed, it turned out to be 'mdma', which with a weight of 48,46 grams and a purity of 19,03 percent, was valued at 1.969,41 euros on the illicit market.

A few days later, on May 17 of the same year, the Police were informed of the existence of another shipment with the same characteristics to the same address, but to a different recipient number. In coordination with the Post Office, deposit an 'arrival notice' in the destination mailbox. On May 25 of the same year, around 17.30:XNUMX p.m., the convicted person went to the corresponding pharmacy and picked up the package.

Already with the package in his possession, the man was intercepted at the exit by the Civil Guard who proceeded to open it in his presence, and verified that it contained a substance that, once analyzed and weighed, turned out to also be 'mdma' with a weight of 45,89 grams, a wealth of 67,17 percent and a value of 1.864,97 euros. The destination, according to the sentence, was to transmit it to third parties.
