Madrid International DUX, an agonizing countdown

The RFEF's Sole Judge of Competitions, Rafael Alonso Martínez, has granted until 12.00:31 noon this Wednesday, August 18, for the International DUX of Madrid to proceed with the registration of 493.317 players with P licenses to be able to compete in the next day of the First Federation, in which the team chaired by Stephen Newman, according to the calendar, will have to receive Mérida. In case of not being able to formalize the files, he will impose the presentation of a guarantee of XNUMX euros and offer the club the option of registering in the Second Federation, if it meets the requirements that are demanded in that category.

According to the RFEF, those 493.317 euros that the Madrid club should guarantee or deposit is the amount that, according to its report, would add the economic damage caused by the International DUX to the other clubs in its same group in case of not participating in the competition.

The International DUX of Madrid, as ABC has been reporting, continues to be unable to meet the requirements established by the RFEF in order to participate in the First Federation, among which are the obligation to have 18 chips in the squad with a minimum salary of 20.000 euros and cover a budget of at least one million euros. The Madrid team, who did not play the first day of the league last weekend as their match at Riazor was postponed, is running out of time and will have to write to 18 players with P licenses before this Wednesday so as not to lose their place in the third level of Spanish football.

In this case that the International DUX cannot finally judge in the First Federation, the RFEF would grant its place to one of the teams that will participate in the temporary pass in the group of the Madrid team and that will end up being relegated to La Liga. Those teams, in order of sporting preference (more points at the end of the championship) will be Talavera, Zamora, Valladolid B and Tudelano. The Talavera team is the one that has shown the most interest in recent times given the possibility of returning to the category lost a few months ago.

Although Atlético Sanluqueño, one of the teams descended from last year from the other RFEF First group, had expressed its intention to opt for the DUX place if it could not continue in the bronze division, the RFEF did not contemplate that option.

The International DUX can compete in the Second Federation if it meets the requirements demanded by the RFEF. In the event that he could not do so, it would be Cerdanyola or Águilas (both from the Third Division) who would occupy the place of the Madrid team in the fourth rung of Spanish football, as long as they want to qualify for that promotion.
