Irene Montero called the owner of the 'Principal' to throw out the director for a fabricated complaint

A senior official from the Ministry of Equality pressured businessman Nicola Pedrazzoli to hire journalist Saúl Gordillo as director of the digital newspaper 'Principal'. A worker denounced her manager for having sexually assaulted her the night they were celebrating the company's Christmas dinner. The very serious story of the girl, accusing her director, and former director of Catalunya Ràdio, Saül Gordillo, of having touched her private parts inside her skirt and panties were quickly denied by the images recorded by the room's security cameras Apolo, which is where the acts that appear in the complaint are supposed to take place. Many Catalan journalists -also the investigating judge, who is keeping Gordillo free and without precautionary measures-, have been able to see the unedited images as they were collected by the Police, and clearly verify that they bear no relation to the complainant's story .

In her statement before the judge, the alleged victim stated on Thursday that she did not want to file a complaint, that her parents, upon hearing her story, had also recommended that she not do so, due to her inconsistency, but that she had felt "pressured" and overwhelmed. by Quique Badia, the editor-in-chief of the digital, and who was appointed director when Gordillo was dismissed.

Badía put the girl in contact with Carla Vall, her partner, a lawyer specializing in feminist issues. In order not to leave such an obvious trail, he diverted the case to the lawyer Noemí Martí, but it was Vall who organized the defensive strategy and the media lynching of Gordillo. Vall is a media terminal for Podemos, very active on social networks and close to the ministry of Irene Montero. According to what Nicola Pedrazzoli, a reference shareholder of 'Principal', has recounted, a viola charge from the ministry called for Gordillo to be suddenly dismissed.

The Mossos, who immediately saw the images, did not give credibility to the complaint and did not arrest Gordillo, contrary to what they did, a few days later, with the former Barcelona player Dani Alves. In the images, which have not been edited, as suggested by the complainant's environment, it can be seen how the girl flirts and dances with Gordillo, constantly seeking and finding contact with the accused. At one point, the director puts his hand on her ass for three or four seconds without the girl stopping dancing with him or making any gesture of disapproval or disgust. Quite the contrary, she happily continues dancing to the rhythm of the music and in clear complicity with whom she now accuses of having assaulted her. To continue, while the girl asks for a drink at the bar, the defendant touches her abdomen and for a second -counted- he has his hand at the height of her vagina, without in any way, as stated in the complaint, putting his hand into her under underwear, much less to “masturbate the clitoris”. To all this, the girl not only does not express any reproach, but rather because she likes it, because she continues dancing with him in the same room, and even in another, where she proposes -according to Gordillo- to go to the bathroom to finish off the job , to which the defendant opposes. The images do not have audio, and although it is seen that a brief conversation is taking place, and the gestures of both match what has been said, there is no way to verify it and therefore it is only the version of the accused, without knowing that of the victim .

After a few hours, disgusted by Gordillo's refusal, the girl turned into a flirtation in a sexual assault that in no way can be seen in the images or can even be imagined.

In the second complaint, the images ring equally clear. For a long time, Saul Gordillo can be seen talking to the complainant, who shows no signs of being very drunk or drugged. When her colleagues offer to bring her home, he tells them no and stays with Gordillo chatting and having a drink, reclining precisely on the counter of the "purple point" of the disco. The only peculiar thing that can be seen in the images is that when the director goes to the bathroom, the girl approaches another boy, whom she doesn't know at all, and after a brief exchange of impressions, she makes out with him without excuse or pretext. The exchange of fluids ends before the return of Gordillo, who is unaware of the act, and leaves the disco with the complainant to accompany her home. Both in the images taken in the disco and outside, both are seen walking without signs of alcoholic intoxication, much less chemical submission. When the complainant arrives at her house, she opens the door and hits the first time with the key. According to the story of the Mossos, he enters the portal "smiling", and even makes the gesture of saying goodbye amiably to his companion - although he does not come to pour. In any case, his behavior and composure is not that of a person under the influence of drugs or who has just been raped.

Many Catalan journalists have seen the images from the Apolo room and all have privately expressed their outrage at the extent to which they contradict the complaint. None of them -or any of them- came out to show their faces and explain his private indignation with the same forcefulness that they condemned Gordillo when the complaint was made known. Some of these journalists cried when they saw the images in private, realizing how unfair they had been to the journalist, whose presumption of innocence of course was not respected. Catalan journalism has a problem with freedom. The same as Catalonia, and that is why Catalanism and society in general have become insatiable collectors of defeats. The journalism that is done in Catalonia is ideological, sectarian, victimizing and very cowardly. Some journalists have refused to see the images because they consider -without seeing them- that the diffusion of diffusion intends to criminalize the victims. Gordillo's lawyer, Carles Monguilod, on Thursday after his client's statement before the judge that "in my almost 40 years of profession I have never seen images that so deny a complaint."
