The National Police arrested a 24-year-old young man on Saturday in Valencia as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault, after apparently sexually assaulting a woman on public roads. After a struggle, the victim managed to get away from the man and fled, hiding in a public transport station, since he called the police. Meanwhile, a man who came out of the balcony alerted by the screams of the victim, informed Room 091 where the suspect was.
The events occurred on Saturday, around five in the morning, when the agents were commissioned by Room 091 to go to a transport terminal, where apparently a woman who had just been sexually assaulted was found.
Quickly, the agents will go to the place and locate a woman, in a high state of anxiety, who had clothes stained with dirt and leaves in her hair, who stated that a man had just sexually assaulted her. Immediately, the police officers transferred the victim to a hospital in Valencia to be treated.
Meanwhile, Room 091 received another call from a witness to the events, who said that he was inside his home when he heard the screams of a woman, so he went out to his balcony, seeing at that moment how a man was chasing a woman Presumably, the suspect who grabbed her and struggled, even throwing her to the ground. In addition, the man kept the call with the operator and informed her where the alleged attacker was going.
Thanks to citizen collaboration, the agents located in the mediations have a man who met the physical characteristics of the suspects and who also had wet knees and mud stains. After the pertinent inquiries, the man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault.
During the first investigations, the agents found out that the victim, along with two friends, met the suspect that night, but at one point, was left alone with him. Apparently, at that moment, the man sexually assaulted her, and the woman, after managing to escape the attack, fled, hiding in a public transport station, where she notified the police.
The arrested man, of Moroccan origin and who has a police record, has gone to court, and the judge has ordered his imprisonment.
