Alberto Núñez Feijóo has chaired this Monday the first Steering Committee of the PP after the summer vacations at the party's national headquarters. Before the beginning of the course, it was stressed to the popular people who voted in favor of Sánchez's energy saving decree if he withdrew from his frivolous measures there is a way of dialogue with the main opposition party and the autonomous communities. If it does not, the PP will vote against this decree-law when it is debated in the plenary session of Congress.
From the outset, the position of the PP before the decree is a "no", because it considers it an improvisation. But tomorrow, Tuesday, there is a Council of Ministers and that is why he believes that it is an opportunity to withdraw the frivolous measures, approve measures in favor of employment and aid for road transport.
The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, has compared before the press with a tie, and has taken the opportunity to criticize those "frivolous" measures by Sánchez, among which he has included the proposal to take off that rush to save, as well as the shutdown of the shop windows and the rise of the air conditioning. Bendodo has asked the Government for seriousness and responsibility.
Bendodo has lamented that the Government “has not gone on vacation”, since it has dedicated the month of August to harshly attacking Feijóo. In that sense, he believes that it is proof that Sánchez knows that he is going to lose the next elections and that is why he has played "combat riot" to attack the PP, first in the polls. The number three of the PP has indicated that Sánchez must be aware that the enemy is not in this party, but in the economic crisis, the energy crisis, inflation and unemployment. In this context, the PP sees Sánchez and his government as "sounded", paralyzed and without the capacity to react.
Feijóo plans to open a round of contacts with the leaders of other parties, including the PNV. A round that the PP has included in a normal framework to talk with other direct. Regarding the negotiations with the Government for the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary, Bendodo has confirmed that the contacts do not exist right now.
