Protocols signed to promote the construction of nursing homes in Elche de la Sierra and Munera

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha complies with the commitment expressed by the regional president, Emiliano García-Page, to promote the construction of residences for the elderly in the province of Albacete with the signing of two protocols with the town councils of Elche de la Sierra and Munera.

This has been the opinion of the Minister of Social Welfare, Bárbara García Torijano, who has signed both agreements with the mayors of the two towns, Raquel Ruiz and Desiderio Martínez, respectively, in each acts in which the delegate of the Board has also been present in Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruíz Santos and the Social Welfare delegate in the province, Antonia Coloma, have informed the Board in a press release.

These two protocols will add to the one signed on January 19 in the Albacete town of Chinchilla de Montearagón.

With them, it complies with what was advanced by the president of the regional Executive in Munera, in mid-January, in relation to the joint impulse between these three consistories of the province and the Community Board to attract the interest of private companies for the construction of residences elderly in areas at risk of depopulation in the province of Albacete.

This same month of January, a similar protocol has also been signed between the Ministry of Social Welfare and the City Council of San Lorenzo de la Parrilla, in Cuenca, and in these days many more will be signed in towns such as Molina de Aragón, in Guadalajara and Quintanar del Rey, in Cuenca.

The head of Social Welfare explained that "with this signing of the protocol we fulfill that objective of President Emiliano García-Page of promoting these three projects for these most depopulated areas, with protocols that are going to make, sooner rather than later, three reality residences for the elderly in this area of ​​Albacete”.
