The weather in the Valencian Community will mark this week by the entry of the Juliette squall, a mass of very cold air, of arctic origin, which will cause a drop in temperatures. Only in the city of Valencia, the maximum will drop six degrees in a matter of hours between Sunday and Monday. In fact, it is likely to become the coldest day of winter and in the last two years, since January 2021.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert in the interior of the province of Valencia, so it is expected that the minimum will drop to -6ºC (north) and -4ºC (south) during the night of Sunday to Monday and the morning of this last day. The same will happen in the interior of Castellón (-6ºC) and Alicante (-4ºC). In the specific case of Rincón de Ademuz, the drop in thermometers can reach -8ºC.

Coastal phenomena and maximum gusts of 80 kilometers per hour will also be expected in the province of Castellón, which will be repeated during Monday night and Tuesday morning. The minimum will continue below zero in Valencia Alicante, with the same values ​​as the previous day, although Aemet a recovery of daytime temperatures.

Although the cold air mass will begin to withdraw on Wednesday and will gradually recover, although the minimum values ​​will remain below normal, at least until the weekend. In the provincial capitals themselves, for example, they will remain between three and four degrees during the last days of February and the beginning of March.
