The Junta de Castilla y León accused the Government of "lying" in its request on the protocol for pregnant women

The Junta de Castilla y León also makes a move. In a forceful response, he already warned the Government of Pedro Sánchez that they will not sit idly by in the face of the request sent this Sunday afternoon, demanding that they "refrain" from applying what they classify as "anti-abortion" measures and threatens to go to court . The Executive of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco will also go to court if the Government does not also attend to his response and "requirement".

The Junta de Castilla y León "has not approved any agreement that limits the rights of women or health professionals," Fernández Mañueco also responded via Twitter, in a comment in which he accuses the Sánchez Executive of "lie » and to do it to «try to hide their incompetence with the approval of the Law of the 'Only yes is yes' that reduces sentences and releases sexual offenders».

He dismisses as "intolerable" what he considered an "attack" and doing it "based on lies and with the intention of generating social alarm" and makes it known that on Friday, the Minister of Health, Alejandro Vázquez, sent a letter to the minister of health in which it makes it clear that "no agreement has been made that violates any right."

In a statement, from the Board they emphasize that "any measure to promote birth and support the family is always used on three premises", which are "absolute respect for the Law, freedom and the rights of pregnant women and health professionals.

It happens that "using all the mechanisms available to the legal system of the pony to defend the freedom of women and the right of pregnant women to adequate and modern health care in the terms established in current regulations." And, it adds, "it will ensure that all actions that increase the fundamental rights of pregnant women in all circumstances are carried out."

For this reason, they emphasize, the Board "will study, establish and coordinate the pertinent measures in defense of the regional powers", for which the Ministry of Health will work on Monday "the appropriate response to the Ministry of Health". And, they add, "where appropriate, it will make the appropriate official request" with various requests to the Government. The first, it points out, "that it refrain from directing the requirements and official communications to an Autonomous Community that violate its autonomy and its powers, included in the Statute of Autonomy" and having done so "under the simple cover of news in the media." "We are talking about birth control and family support policies."

"Full Autonomy"

It also defends its "full autonomy to approve any protocol, agreement, instrument or communication in this regard that establishes improvements in the health service for pregnant women and in the medical tests that are considered necessary", within current scientific knowledge, »always "within the framework of the regulations and" with full respect for the fundamental rights of pregnant women and the rights and obligations of health personnel ".

In the statement, it recalls that "the obligations of inter-administrative collaboration are established by law and are carried out properly through the established sectoral coordination bodies." Therefore, it continues, "no specific existing obligation that this Community, in the legitimate exercise of its powers, immediately notify the Ministries of the protocols, instruments, communications or written or verbal instructions through which it exercises its due powers" , as urged by the Government in its request.

De la Junta already warns that these Claims are not attended "fully and immediately" by the Government of Spain, "it does not" rule out "implementing additional legal actions, in view of the fact that the actions announced by the Government of Spain may openly contravene the legal system".

It will study, he concluded, "if it is necessary to carry out other legal actions, so that the application of the actions announced by the Government of Spain may violate the right to autonomy, and the legitimate exercise of the powers that correspond to this Autonomous Community ".
