Talavera de la Reina ceramics already has its first registered artisan brand, whose designer, the creation of designer José Luis Espinosa, has already been patented by the City Council so that it can be maintained over time. The mayoress of Talavera, Tita García Élez, has held a meeting with ceramics to show them the brand new identification of Talavera ceramics, which will be presented "shortly" and which represents a "giant step", as she has stated, for the artisan centers and for the safeguarding of the artisan manufacturing processes of ceramics that are Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In this regard, he pointed out that there are many towns and even countries that have their own hallmarks for their craft products, so "the time has come for Talavera to have it too", being also an incentive that can serve as an "umbrella brand to create a common, harmonious, coordinated and representative image”.
