The work of prevention and extinction of forest fires must be adapted at each moment of the year to the existing risk. For the Junta de Castilla y León, a flexible operation has been opted for, which integrates prevention and extinction and whose dimensions are adapted to the existing risk conditions at all times.
The scarcity of rains of the last few weeks and the temperatures much higher than expected for this time of the year continue. This is causing a significant drought and an increased risk of forest fires.
It is therefore necessary to take measures that must be subject to precise coordination in order to achieve maximum efficiency in the fulfillment of its purpose, for which it is necessary that, from the competent governing body, those resolutions tend to achieve dacha coordination.
For this reason, and in accordance with the powers derived from Decree 63/1985, of July 27, on the prevention and extinction of forest fires, and Decree 9/2022, of May 5, which establishes the organic structure of the Minister of the Environment, Housing and Territorial Planning, this General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Forest Policy.
ABSTRACT
Extend the declaration of low Medium Danger of forest fires in the Community of Castilla y León from May 5 to 11, both included, with the same preventive measures associated with the initial resolution of the resolution issued on March 29, 2023:
- • Suspension of all authorizations and communications for the burning of vegetation and plant remains.
- • Reinforcement of guard personnel and resources deployed in the most risky regions.
In accordance with the provisions of section 7 of article 48 of Law 43/2003, of November 21, on Forestry, this resolution will be in force and take effect from the moment it is signed, and will be the subject of official publication.
